  • Everyone — and I mean every­one — between the ages of 25 and 30 used to watch The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air
  • The token Asian guy has a fra­ter­nal con­nec­tion with the oth­er token Asian guy in every clique
  • Fire has the abil­i­ty to bring out peo­ple’s pri­mal natures, and make them throw their hands in the air and wave them like they just don’t care (or some rea­son­able fac­sim­i­le there­of)
  • Some peo­ple think they’re nev­er too old to get hooched up for a Saturday night
  • A good DJ can make you feel like you nev­er left high-school
  • Even at 27, I still look like I’m 18, accord­ing to the bounc­er who card­ed me

  1. Dude, I’m 30 and got card­ed at The Beer Store this week­end. Hah!

    Also, when are you plan­ning on updat­ing to WP 2.5? I like the new dash­board, but my OpenID plu­g­in stopped work­ing which sucks.

  2. I love the way bars and clubs are com­plete­ly devoid of fear with regard to fire. I once was near­ly asphyx­i­at­ed by an act that used met­al grinders to throw out spark-show­ers. They not only near­ly burned the place down, they near­ly cleared out the crowd with fumes.…

    But that is a REALLY COOL shot. : )

  3. @trolley — I’m sure that in many years, we’ll hope to get card­ed, so we should appre­ci­ate it now.

    I just updat­ed to WordPress 2.5 yes­ter­day. It’s total­ly sweet; a way bet­ter work­flow than before. None of my plu­g­ins stopped work­ing, only a few fea­tures that I nev­er used any­way. Strange that an OpenID plu­g­in would be incom­pat­i­ble.

    @Xibee — To be hon­est, I don’t go to bars and clubs much, so I’ll have to take your word on the whole fire thing. This means I must go out more to take pho­tos though.

  5. oh, 2.5 worked. Someone else said all plu­g­ins went kaput and the pho­to aspect did­n’t work at all. Must depend on the soft­ware on the serv­er?

    Still get­ting card­ed? I’m not sure whether to be con­tent to be past that or jeal­ous.

  7. @J. — It’s an inter­est­ing atmos­phere. Not quite like oth­er bars I’ve been too. Worth check­ing out.

    @Pearl — I think it depends more on what plu­g­ins you use. Some of them are based on core WordPress code, that may change with each release.

    What val­ley rais­ing are you refer­ring to?
