My Uncle Joe and Aunt Vivien bought me this model cat from Taiwan. It looks so real that I thought it was stuffed at first glance. It’s life-sized, though on the small side, so appearing to be a kitten. You can only tell that it’s fake when you look closer at it’s nose (plastic, without the same texture as a real cat’s nose) and ears (too much hair — I’m guessing membranes are too difficult to fake). If I wasn’t a cat lover, I’d definitely be fooled.
I’m going to put it in the back window of my car; I’ve been looking for a decoration ever since I got my car a year ago, and this is perfect. Hopefully no one will smash my windows in an attempt to save it.
Funny you should mention it…
Once I was in a parking lot on a very hot day, and I saw a sleeping cat in the back of somebody’s car. The windows were all closed, and it was hot enough that an animal in a car would be in danger.
Nobody was around, so I tapped on the window to see if the “cat” was ok. No response. I seriously considered breaking a window or going into the mall and having them make an announcement to find the owner of the car.
I realized at the very last minute that the cat was fake. ^.^;
They’re so realistic!
I was thinking about that if a cat was really baking in the summer heat, or freezing in the winter, it wouldn’t be sleeping so soundly and instead would be meowing loudly. I hope other people will use this logic!
They have these (or something similar) at the As Seen On TV store… NOT THAT I SHOP THERE!
I’ve seen those before too, but I find they look more like semi-real plush dolls than actual taxidermy models. Funny how there’s this taboo about shopping at that store. I probably would if there was something I found useful there, but all the products seem like cheap gimmicks to me.
any idea what the name of the store is in taiwan?!
