Waiting To Find Out, And Idiot Comments

This is delicious.

So I know this guy, who’s marrying this girl, who he met just over half a year ago. They live in different countries, so he’s moving in with her and her parents. There has been a lot of talk going on about this, whether this is a good decision, bad decision, or whatnot.

Out of all the facts and conclusions reached, I have to admit that I have no idea whether or not this will work out. Love is a funny thing, and things could go either way. The important matter is, however, the risk involved, in terms of dropping school, a job, friends, etc. in order to be with this person. I think that if he believes that the risk is worth it, then he should. I’ve never really protected people from being hurt or making mistakes, because I find that pain and mistakes are often the best teachers, and that learning is the highest form of living. Generally the only time that I’ll step in is if there is permanent damage, such as a criminal record. If I actually had any say though, I’d suggest that he waits at least another year before making a decision like this. After all, if he was meant to be with this person, what’s the difference of a year or two? Sure it may be terrible to be apart, but in the future there’s plenty of time, especially if he already “knows” that he’ll be with this person forever. The confounding thing about this situation though, is that he understands all these points, believes that this is a stupid decision, and is still going through with it. Any respect I had for his decision is completely gone.

As for Litterbox Jen, I’m sick of all the fucking trite, sequacious comments people are leaving on her entries. It seems like people just say shit to get attention, especially when trying to make her feel better. When someone gives a generic compliment, or shows some sort of false, almost boastful over-protectiveness, it just ends up being completely meaningless. It doesn’t deal with any sort of issue whatsoever, and to me, ends up demeaning any other comments that are made. I mean, someone comments with some “strong” opinions on the addition of sponsors, and ends up sounding like a fucking tool with his exaggerated compliments and god fucking awful pretentious morals. “you’re better than that”, jesus fucking christ.
