I think I write them so I can keep that same hope.
Great painting…Interesting how art in one medium can remind you of another! If it would transfer to a different sense (audible instead of visual) then that would be something else too.
Perhaps you should read about those people who see sounds…
or just get that new N.E.R.D. album by the same name, Seeing Sounds.
Lovely shot Jeff. Reminded me of the Fragonard too.
Great shot, the picture made me smile.
@Zaira — Actually I have a small ability to “see” sounds (called sound-color synesthesia), mainly from music. Certain chords make colours appear in my head. It’s quite an awesome feeling.
I’ve always been a fan of Pharell, so I have to check out this N.E.R.D. album now.
@Xibee — I had never seen this painting before…I feel like I’ve been living under a rock.
@Jason — Thanks! Makes me smile every time I look at it too.
well put.
Thanks Joe. I wonder if you’re saying this as a blogger, a photographer, or both.
Not to worry dear, I didn’t pay for that sculpture degree for nothing.
Jeff, this is a gorgeous picture. Very inspiring!
Thanks Karsh! Always great when inspiration begets inspiration.
It’s as though she’s drowning out every surrounding sound to be able to fully appreciate that one short moment of freedom.
I love this picture.
I love this picture too, especially the way her toes point out. :)
your intimate posts always give me the hope that someone will feel the same about me. And after the year I’ve had, I needed the reminder.
And your photo reminds me of this painting.…so inviting:
