In the last few weeks, she’s been too weak to leave the house, but we can take her for walks in the afternoon now. Going around the block takes half an hour and leaves her legs shaking, but she’s happy to be out. Before we go, she gets dressed and puts on her makeup and does her hair. Even now, she retains the class and dignity I’ve always admired in her.

  1. Hey, on the left of the 2nd photo is my elementary school, and my highschool is just across the road.

    • I passed by, but it has too many gates and walls to get any good pictures. My dad said your high school is very famous and prestigious…the Hong Kong equivalent of Upper Canada College.

  2. ok i wana go

    • For some reason, I imagine you — a big white guy — in an undersized Chinese school uniform, trying to blend in to buy ice-cream from the guy on the motorcycle. :D

  3. Wow I don’t recognize this area. All my friends live in Kowloon in the old sections.

    • These were all taken in the radius of a single block in Kowloon, although I don’t know if it was from a new or an old section. I’m guessing old, because the buildings are quite old. The fact that the pictures are from such a small and single area is probably why you don’t recognize anything.
