@trolley — I liked the concept of Picasa for the computer, but I heard not-so-great things about the web based service (mainly the lack of community). Most important to me was the fact that even if you upgraded the service to a paid account, you're still limited to 6GB, whereas it's unlimited for Flickr. VERY important difference. I'm going to look into this MozyHome thing, cause I need some sort of off-site backup for other files as well.

I'm still considering the OpenID thing. 9rules is also thinking about it for their Notes, so maybe I'll get a chance to use it from the clients point of view before implementing it for the server side.

@Sophia — One thing I like about Flickr (and maybe I'm just coming in late to recent updates) is the interface. The UI is just awesome. The community seems much more pervasive too, cause I run into Flickr apps, streams, and dicsussion everywhere. It's also cheaper for a pro membership, now that Yahoo bought them out.

Flickr seems to be the better choice... I've heard some people use smugmug but they don't like it as much. This girl I know ended up doing a wedding gig because someone liked her Flickr photos :)

You went with Flickr huh? I bought a Picasa subscription but likely won't renew it...it didn't work quite as well with the Picasa software as I thought it would, and now I'm using MozyHome to back up all my data so I really don't need to duplicate the storage.

By the way, are you going to install the OpenID plugin? It'd be nice to use my OpenID account for posting comments here :D
