I can very much identify with that, I think about death a lot, some periods in my life, I think about it more then others. Sometimes it's a scary thought, but some times, it's very comforting, knowing that there is an option, and escape root of some sort. I've read in some part of a book about a guy who worked for a suicide help line, and he said that many of the people who kill themselves feel like there's a big problem in their live they can't overcome, and so, having it that the world can't manage to contain both their huge problem and themselves, they choose to end their lives. I don't think that's true, I think most people don't kill themselves cause they don't want to live, I think they kill themselves cause they want to die, they choose death.

My sister tried to kill herself a few months ago, she's got a mental illness and the suicide attempt was a part of her illness. The idea of someone else, someone I love and care for not wanting to live, seemed monstrous, seem so twisted and unnatural I couldn't even bring myself to grasp it. And yet, when I think about suicide myself, it does make sense sometimes.

It's the ultimate run away, not facing my problems or taking responsibility over my life. Like smashing the chess board when you know you are about to loose the game, I guess sometimes facing death's easier then facing ourselves.
