Getting Easier To Write Again

Posted in: Daily Life | Tags: ,

It’s not that I haven’t had time to write lately, it’s that every time I sit down and set myself on writing, I can’t follow through on any of my ideas. I blame the close proximity of my house to my job. For years, going to university and going to work on the bus would force me to sit passively, while someone would take me to my destination. I didn’t have to think about anything, so my mind would drift about random things, like my friends, my relationships, and my life. Back then, my entries were thorough and better developed.

It’s slowly getting easier to write again. I don’t have to force myself as much.

Hm, I never really have that kind of a problem, I don’t think. I guess I just type my random thoughts out… that could explain why my writing can be somewhat chunky.

The shorter the commute, the less time to think. Started my business at my house and it was terrible. Takes a lot of discipline because you cannot “go home” to get away from it. Long commute, lots of time to think, organize, plan, scheme, even doze…unless you’re driving of course!

I agree. I know someone who lives about 40 minutes away from work, but when I he drove me to his house once the ride was all through the country, with no traffic. My first thought was that the long commute was a disadvantage, but it’s really the other way around.
