I had to laugh while reading your post because most of it sounded like something I would have written months after buying my first house!

The bf and I bought the big tv, new DVD player, surround sound system, Gamecube (mostly to play Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles), and various pieces of new furniture. After settling in, our trips to Home Depot and Rona started. I think the cashiers there knew us by name.

We recently (after being in the house for just over a year) had the upstairs painted and had some nice landscaping done (widened the driveway, created interlock pathways and flowerbeds), and have just started to strip the deck.

Be warned: the work and the expenses will never end. Regardless...isn't home ownership great? ;)
