Skipping The Trip

Posted in: Daily Life

I was all hyped for a trip to John’s cottage at the end of the summer, but the plans have fallen through. The ideal would have been getting Aaron and Trolley to come with me, without the girlfriends, but everyone is too busy. It’s not that I don’t want the girls to be there, I’d just like Aaron and Trolley’s first time to be guys only.

A bit of a letdown, but no one’s going anywhere, so I’m sure we’ll be going in the future. John will be coming up here some time in the fall instead, although both of us could probably only afford a weekend.

A New Blade

Posted in: Daily Life | Tags:

I got to shave with a new razor blade today. My blade generally outlasts the razor, and the one I just threw out was in use for over eight months. It was so old that the soothing strips were completely worn out. The blades get a little dull and slightly irritating, but they still work. I’ve always had baby facial hair, but I’ve noticed that it’s gotten a lot tougher now. Too bad it’s patchy as hell, like Gabe’s.

Stew

Posted in: Thoughts | Tags: , ,

It’s rare that something will make me feel forlorn nowadays, but every so often, something will set me off. I love to stew in those emotions, to appreciate them when I do feel them. Some songs sound totally different, like Battlecry by Grace Like Winter, but there’s nothing like hearing the opening bars of Oddity by Coal Chamber. A song that makes the skin feel like it’s peeling off, that must be loud enough to burn the tympanic membrane. It’s like the body melts, and everything fuses together.

Eventually, everything goes away.

WALKING IN THE RAIN

Posted in: Random | Tags:

I enjoy walking in the rain, but I really have to be in the mood for it. And it can’t just be some pussy rain, it has to be pouring. Otherwise, what’s the point?

Tracking Packages

I love tracking packages. I wonder if package tracking codes follow a certain structure, like credit cards. Credit card numbers need to be approved by a bank first though, so they’re very secure, with good reason. If I could, I’d decipher the tracking code format and write a code generator to track random packages all day. I wouldn’t need to know what’s being shipped, I just like knowing that I can find out where something is at any point in time.
